Courses & Pathways Unit (CPU)
CPU offers curriculum maintenance and development services to a range of clients including faculties and TAFE schools of VU, State Training Authorities, other RTOs, and community and industry clients.
CPU undertakes the following activities:
- Designing and developing a range of curricula including crown copyright and university owned courses.
- Undertaking the Service Industries Curriculum Maintenance Management on behalf of the State Training System.
- Provision of advice to university staff and governance bodies on training packages, curriculum processes and accreditation procedures.
- Oversight of the development and maintenance of pathways through processes such as the mapping of pathways for existing awards and the development of new linked awards.
- Undertaking commercial activity with a curriculum development focus.
Project Officers within the unit also act as part time Executive Officers when undertaking the Service Industries Curriculum Maintenance Manager (SICMM) function on behalf of the Office of Training and Tertiary Education (OTTE).
