Courses & Pathways Unit (CPU)

Pathways

Pathways are formally approved links between and across different courses and/or qualifications offered by Victoria University and other educational providers, including qualifications attained overseas and recognised by the National Office of Overseas Recognition (NOOSR).

Pathways are developed in response to the University’s commitment to ongoing learning, recognising and legitimising a range of entry and exit points to courses and encouraging students to fulfil their potential.  The Learning Pathways and Qualification Linkages guides the development of pathways.

Articulation is a broad generic term to describe student movement along pathways.  At Victoria University, articulation can occur in two ways:

  • by linking existing courses/qualifications; and
  • by developing Cross Sectoral Awards.

The existence of a ‘Pathway’ does not guarantee entry into a course (there may be other requirements).

Students can access information about Pathways from the University’s Pathways Database.

Current VU students can apply for credit by completing an Internal Credit Transfer and external students can apply for credit citing a Pathway identifier number.
