Educational Professional Development Unit (EPDU)

The Educational Professional Development Unit delivers accredited Vocational Education and Training courses in the areas of training development, delivery and assessment to VU staff, industry clients, and national and international students and trainers who want to:

• Train or already have the responsibility of training in the workplace
• Expand their career opportunities
• Work in the Vocational Education and Training sector
• Learn new skills in workplace training and assessment that are transferable and recognised anywhere in Australia
• Gain a nationally accredited qualification in training and assessment

In addition:

• Plans, c o-ordinates and monitors professional development across the university community
• Co-ordinates the TAFE Development Centre
• Works with OTTE initiatives and projects

The Unit also assists companies and individuals to define their training needs, to develop training plans and to implement training in the workplace through appropriate flexible delivery systems.
