Competitive Grants Program
Through this Program the Carrick Institute provides grants for research, development
and innovation related to the enhancement of learning and teaching in higher education.
There is a total pool of $3.3 million available for distribution in 2008 under this Program.
Funding is in the range
$60,000 to $220,000
Projects’ duration
Up to 2 years
The funding priorities for 2006-2008 are:

rewarding excellence in teaching (excluding awards schemes) |

Carrick project being conducted covering this priority |

| Innovation in learning and teaching, particularly in
relation to the role of new technologies |

Application Information
The
Guidelines
(pdf download) for the Competitive Grants are available as a pdf from the Carrick Institute website.
There will be a call for applications for 2009 due to Carrick by 6th November, 2008.
At this stage applications may be an expression of interest or a full proposal.
The Priorities for 2009 have yet to be announced.
Applications (as Expressions of Interest or Full Proposals) must be submitted to the Staff College by
6th October 2008.
