Dr Michelle Fong's 15 years of varied corporate and industrial experience has enabled her to effectively merge theories with application to guide the learning of students who come from different disciplines within the business area.

Dr Fong fosters a constructive collaboration approach among students, peers, teachers and industry players to enhance student learning and provide practical application of the knowledge constructed and acquired at VU. Active learning principles are applied to course design to enable students to acquire life-long learning skills; more fully understand themselves and contribute positively to society. Feedback and evaluations from Dr Fong's students have been used systematically to continually improve and refine her teaching practices. Dr Fong's teaching practice also embraces accessibility for individual student consultation that allows her to better understand students learning needs as well as motivate them in their transit to become independent learners. Students value her expertise, enthusiasm and level of commitment greatly.
