Make VU for YOU

These resources are designed to support academics who are applying for promotion in 2009 and beyond.

The approach

We have taken a whole of work approach to thinking about this series of activities designed to engage academics in discussions about being an academic. This is because we believe that in order to make a successful application for promotion, it is essential for academics to be able to reflect a coherent understanding about how the teaching, research and service aspect of academic work are brought together by applicants within the context of their discipline/field of practice.

We have designed four lunchtime conversations about the nature of academic work and what it means to be an academic at VU. Each session includes lunch, so bookings via PD Online are essential for catering purposes.
