Teaching and Learning Policies
These pages have been designed to inform all staff at Victoria University about new and/or reviewed teaching and learning policies. Although the university has a number of policies across different operational areas, this website focuses only on those policies which impact directly on teaching and learning. These policies have been developed to assist staff to provide quality teaching and learning to all students and are underpinned by the following operational principles in the Teaching and Learning policy framework which ensure that:
- students are supported in their learning
- courses and programs are of high quality
- modules or units are effectively designed and delivered
- teachers are supported in their practice.
It is essential for staff to be aware of the purpose of these policies, how they are linked and how to access them. This web site:
- identifies the teaching and learning policies with which staff need to be familiar
- provides a brief overview of the purpose of each policy
- provides a set of frequently asked questions for each teaching and learning policy
- provides references to further resources related to each teaching and learning policy
- provides suggested strategies to assist in implementing the policies.
