Quality Teaching & Innovation Unit (QTIU)

Welcome

The role of the Quality Teaching and Innovations Unit is to provide professional development support to teaching and teaching support staff with reference to the University’s Quality Framework and learning and teaching related policies. The unit will provide a range of services and programs that aim to equip Victoria University staff with the skills required to assure the quality of Victoria University courses and educational programs.

Our philosophy

We believe that staff learning and development as it relates to learning and teaching is most effective when it is integrated with the work practices. We seek to work closely with faculties to deliver relevant services and programs by:

• Locating Educational Developers in faculties 2.5 days per week to work on mutually agreed projects;
• Seconding VE/FE teachers and HE academics into our unit for 2 days per week for a semester to work on specific projects
