General Staff Leadership Development Programs
The Staff College and Human Resources Department are be offering a suite of General Staff Leadership Development Programs. Nominations for the 2008-2009 program are now open.
The purpose of the program is to develop general staff in their leadership roles in the University particularly as they relate to supporting Making VU a New School of Thought. The program is organised into three streams each leading to a qualification:
- HEW 4-5 – Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management)
- HEW 6-7 – Diploma (qualification to be finalised)
- HEW 8-9 – Diploma of Business Management
Eligibility, Entry and Selection
To be considered for the General Staff Leadership and Development Program, participants must:
- Currently occupy an appropriate HEW level for the relevant program
- Commit to the entire duration of the program and participate in all evaluation processes
- Be nominated by their Manager / Director, having been identified as a person with leadership potential
- Have the full support of their immediate supervisor for their participation in projects, recognizing time commitments for attendance and completion of assessment
Application Process
- Applicants must be NOMINATED by their Manager / Director
- Applications open on Monday 28th July 2008
- Nominations must address the Selection Criteria
- Nominations to be submitted by the advertised closing date
- All applications are confidential and will be handled accordingly
