Assistance and advice is available for VU staff in developing and implementing strategies for supporting students, including NESB and international students.
Advice is also available on policy development. Areas include student learning support, English language and communication issues, academic transition and academic peer mentoring.

Subject-based Peer Mentoring
The Subject-based Mentoring Program is a student mentoring scheme in which students who have been successful in a specific subject conduct regular self-help study sessions for students new to the subject. he Australian Government recently provided funding support for higher education providers in the form of fifteen competitive grants for projects to assist the development of best practice models for offshore delivery and to strengthen their quality assurance processes for offshore delivery.
Fiona Henderson and Julie Dixon of Student Learning Services at Victoria University were amongst the successful grant applicants.
