2009 TAFE Innovation Showcase Highlights

The annual TAFE Innovation Showcase was held on June 18, 2009. It featured collaborations between Victorian TAFE institutions and their industry partners on new ways to teach needed skills. Presentations were made by:

• Central Gippsland Institute & the Energy Sector
• University of Ballarat & the Grampians Disability Services Centre
• TexSkill & Lean Manufacturing
• Swinburne Univeristy of Technology & Burra Sheetmetal
• Chisholm Institute & South East Water
• East Gippsland Institute & Gippsland Aeronautics
• Holmesglen Institute & the Furnishing Industry Design & Innovation Centre
• Box Hill Institute & the Nursing Skills Centre of Excellence

Hosted by Skills Victoria and Victoria University (VU) the event was opened by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor John McCallum, and the Hon Jacinta Allan MP. It featured a keynote address by Mr Mark Cunneen, Bendigo Bank Regional Manager Melbourne West.
