The relationship between an academic’s acceptance or rejection of an international curriculum, and their perception of learning and teaching within the discipline, is explored. The influence of international students within the learning environment and differing
disciplinary approaches is discussed. A ‘Spectrum of Acceptance of Internationalising Curriculum’ is proposed as a framework for classifying academics’ beliefs about teaching and their reasons for accepting or rejecting this innovation.
