Partnering in Leadership Program : a joint initiative between Charles Darwin University and VU

In this program you will build effective working relationships and networks with colleagues at the partner institution. Focusing on a workplace project, you will develop innovative and progressive solutions to strategic initiatives.

Thinking beyond existing paradigms and ways of working, you will build contemporary approaches to your leadership practice.

The program will also have a particular emphasis on learning and communication technologies, and the educational dilemmas of working with a culturally and ethnically diverse community.

TARGET GROUP

This program is designed for middle managers.

PROGRAM DESIGN

This program runs for nine months. It includes:

• Self-directed learning (reading)
• 2 residentials (one at each end of the duration of the program)
• Diagnostic instruments
• Leadership discussion panels
• Reflective journals
• Action Learning projects
• Site visits
• Peer coaching
• Technology skills development

DATES

This program has been delayed as Charles Darwin University is not currently in a position to participate in the program. Alternative partnering opportunties are being investigated. We will provide more information as it becomes available.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Written application addressing the selection criteria and endorsed by the direct manager must be submitted by the application close date. A selection committee will decide upon the participants selected.

ARTICULATION

VU have negotiated a Credit Transfer to Grad Cert in Education at (Educational Leadership) at VU and/or Master of Education (Educational Leadership) at VU.
