Learning and teaching initiatives at VU

Professor Baxter is the also sponsor of a number of strategic initiatives in teaching and learning at VU including:

• the development and implementation of a Learning Commons approach founded on a student-centred learning and teaching philosophy;
• Making VU Commitment 2: Learning in the Workplace and Community;
• the implementation of a comprehensive approach to developing graduate attributes through all VU courses.

The Office of the PVC also supports:

• education research and projects;
• awards and grants schemes (internal and external);
• learning and teaching policies and strategies;
• services for students.
