The Victoria University Education for Sustainability (EfS) Sub-Committee to ESMAC, reports and provides advice on:

The Australian Research Institute for Environment and Sustainability: based at Macquarie University but with a federal and international scope, ARIES works with all sectors of society, providing a unique mix of research and practical facilitation to promote learning and change for sustainable development. ARIES employs collaborative and systems-based approaches to build capacity in organisations for change towards sustainability.

The Natural Edge Project: based in various Australian cities, the team members are hosted and mentored by a number of Universities including Griffith University, Adelaide University, QUT, and Curtin University, after being incubated by The Institution of Engineers Australia.

The National Education for Sustainability Network: the Network aims to improve inter-governmental coordination of the delivery of environmental education, promoting more efficient use of resources and better outcomes. The Network mostly exchanges information electronically or in hard copy, with limited face-to-face contact to ensure participation costs are kept at a minimum.

The Australian Sustainable Schools Initiative (AuSSI): a comprehensive critically-reviewed portal with audited resources, cross-disciplinary activities, network listings, publications and practical case studies.

The Sustainability Campus Group which aims to progress sustainability in the Victorian tertiary education sector.
