Victoria University (VU) has a centralised policy system to ensure efficiency and accountability in its operations. Policies and associated procedures reflect the University's mission and values. They aim to create a safe and consistent academic, educational and work environment.

VU teaching and learning policies
A subcategory of the University's Academic and Educational policies are those considered "teaching and learning" policies. These cover a range of matters, including:
- assessment
- progress
- moderation
- grading
- plagiarism
- graduate capabilities
- teacher capabilities
- learning in the workplace and community

Accessing VU policies
University policies are coordinated by Governance, Policy and Planning Services (GPPS). Further information on policy framework generally and versions of current policies are held in the Victoria University Central Policy Register. The Register can be searched alphabetically or by keyword.
