Scholarship of teaching and learning

Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (SoT&L) can best be defined as the systematic inquiry into learning that results in the dissemination of knowledge about learning.

At Victoria University (VU) systematic inquiry into learning is focused on the pedagogical elements of Making VU:

  • learning in the workplace
  • learning for sustainability
  • transition into learning and work
  • internationalisation
  • learning in the workplace and community
  • flexible learning

In line with the VU Teacher Capabilities all staff are expected to systematically research learning and generate knowledge on how our students are supported as learners in these areas.
