Professional Development and Teacher Induction

Overview

All employees who are new to Victoria Univeristy (VU) and those returning to work after a period of absence are encouraged to participate in our induction programs. These will assist you to:

• become accustomed to the University and your local workplace
• gain an understanding of the organisation and its strategic direction
• gain an understanding of your role and responsibilities within the organisation
• begin to establish networks with colleagues across the University.

Induction for Teachers

Victoria University (VU) supports the engagement of teaching staff in continuous professional development. We encourage all teachers to participate in our Induction for Teaching program.

Induction for General Staff

We encourage all staff to participate in the University's Induction Program to gain a broad overview of Work Life and Learning at VU. This will assist you to settle into your new role.
