eLearning Pedagogy

eLearning activities, just like face-to-face activities, need to be planned at the curriculum level taking into account the pedagogies for delivery. At Victoria University (VU) the question of delivery should also consider:

  • the diversity of our student population
  • our commitment to fostering student success and active engagement through diverse learning spaces and places

Commitment 3 - Making VU
Our strategic plan endorses learning spaces and places that include a Learning Commons and a virtual environment.

A virtual environment

A virtual environment enables students to access learning on and off campus through a range of eLearning technologies. These technologies need to be inclusive and assist learners to reach stated learning outcomes and graduate capabilities or employability skills.

What VU must do

To enhance student-centred learning and ensure every unit has a minimum online presence, VU must extend the use of:

  • eLearning 2.0 technologies
  • mobile learning technologies
  • other forms of multimedia content capture and delivery

This will support students in their choices and equip them with the capacity to operate in a world where technologies are the interface of communication and technical expertise.

Victoria University's vision
VU's strategic directions can be supported through eLearning.
