Using Turnitin
The plagiarism prevention software currently used by Victoria University (VU) is Turnitin. This software is easily integrated into the Blackboard learning management system by using the Powerlink. It is available to all instructors and no registration or password are required to use it.
Turnitin can replace the standard Blackboard Assignment tool. When student work is submitted to a Turnitin assignment, the material is checked for originality against theTurnitin.com database of billions of internet pages and previously submitted student work. An originality report is generated for the faculty member or the student, depending on the settings determined by the instructor.
