Learning Matters 2008 will be held from Monday 8 December to Thursday 11 December 2008.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Elizabeth Harman, will open Learning Matters at the Footscray Nicholson Campus on 8 December at 1pm. The opening forum will include a keynote address from Professor Don Aitkin and Dr John Mitchell on the Diamond model.
During the symposium each of the University's faculties will host activities on different days at different campuses. The multiple locations and careful scheduling is designed to promote as much movement around the University as possible.
Other activities hosted by groups with the University will include a Sessional Staff Forum, an E-learning Forum, a Student Forum and a Scholarship of Teaching Forum.
All University staff, including those who focus on research, are invited to attend. We encourage you to take a look at how other faculties investigate and support their learning and teaching cultures, and to attend forums on issues you might not usually consider.
Bookings are essential for catering purposes.
