VU College Courses and Services

Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS)

VETiS programs are for Year 10, 11 and 12 secondary students who want to develop knowledge and work-ready skills to help them find employment. Students combine school studies – VCE or VCAL - with hands-on practical experience through undertaking a Certificate I, II or III in a specific vocational area at a local secondary college or at VU.

VETiS at VU also offer Short Courses and Tasters, allowing students the opportunity to try different courses for one or two terms.

The University’s VETiS team oversees the administration, delivery and auspice of VETiS programs and works with all VU faculties that offer vocational education programs and more than 100 secondary schools in the western metropolitan region of Melbourne.
