Help with Using the Learning Hub
The Learning Hub contains six sections of information, being Degree Study Support, English Skills, General Study Skills, Maths Skills, TAFE Study Support and information for students Starting a New Course. You can link to these sections from the Learning Hub home page by rolling over the titles on the Flash object in the middle of the screen.
You can easily switch between sections by clicking on the menu on the right side of the screen. Each section has its own unique content and has its own left menu to organise the content. If you still can't find what you're looking for, try using the Search VU College function on the right-hand side of the screen.
Recognising types of links
Most links will also have one of three icons attached to it, so that you can identify what kind of information you're accessing:
This icon is used to identify a web link. These links go to pages owned by Victoria University but are outside the Learning Hub.
Links with this icon will take you to external websites outside of Victoria University that contain relevant information.
Word documents are downloadable files that you can save or open in Microsoft Word on your computer.
PDF files are identified by this icon and are also downloadable files. To view them, you will need to install Acrobat Reader.- Lastly, if there is no icon next to a link, you can assume that it will just open another page within the Learning Hub.
Return to the Learning Hub.
