Nursing Calulations Project
The Drugulator
SLU has developed a tool – The Drugulator– for VU’s Nursing students. The aim of the Drugulator is to become the next generation way drug calculations are learned and performed. It consists of a single machine interface through which students and medical professionals can perform a large array of drug calculations in a more efficient, accurate and ultimately safer manner.
The tool was trialled with a small group of VU students in 2006 and is now being introduced broadly into the nursing curriculum in 2007. This year about 300 third year students will be using the Drugulator with this growing to 1000 (the size of VU’s nursing cohort) in 2008. Being web-based, there is also the opportunity for the tool to be used at other universities both nationally and internationally.
In order to access The Drugulator, you will need to first input your email username and password. It is recommended that users first consult the user manual. Note that currently you will need to use Internet Explorer as your web browser.
